A document called Unmarried Certificate from Nepal, stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nepal and also attestation at the Thai Embassy in Kathmandu is a must in order to present at your embassy in Thailand.

It is required by Thai law to have the Affirmation of Freedom to marry be issued by your embassy, to state that you are eligible for marriage. Requirements for the application process at the embassy may seem simple, but specific documents are required will be required from Nepal in marrying in Thailand before issuance of the document.
Once the documents obtained from the Nepal embassy, the next process is for the translation of documents at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The Ministry evaluates correct translations and make sure that documents required are sufficient to proceed with marriage.
The process for marriage registration in Thailand can be filed at any District Office or Minor District Office regardless of the birthplace or hometown if marrying a Thai national. Also, at the time of marriage, the Thai female party will be asked if the title used with the forename and the last name of the female will be changed. If using the male party’s surname, the Thai female party may then have to update her civil documents in her hometown.
Marriage registration for Nepalese, may it be between another foreign or a Thai national shall take effect only if registration being made. After registration is completed, a Marriage Registration Certificate to be obtained as evidence. It is issued in Thai language and be provided in two sets.
These documents must be translated to English and submit for legalization at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
